 Who We Are

Enfield Junior Women’s Club (EJWC) has been serving the needs of the community for over 35 years. The club is comprised of an   enthusiastic group of women, age 18 and over, who enjoy coming together to contribute time and effort to help others in the community. Coming from all walks of life and professions, we are fun, caring and hard working women who enjoy the feeling of pride and satisfaction from the accomplishments made together as a club. EJWC is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization; one of over 50 Junior Women’s club Chapters affiliated with the Statewide Junior Women’s Club (CJW).

When & Where We Meet

EJWC meetings are the second Thursday of each month (Sept-June) 7:30 pm at the North Thompsonville Fire Dept, 439 Enfield St. Meetings generally last 90 minutes.

The Executive Board meets bi-monthly, the Thursday prior to the general meeting. Board meetings are held at different members homes. All members are invited to attend and participate in the leadership.

What We Do

The club’s objective is to develop projects of civic, philanthropic, social and educational interest, and to promote good citizenship in the community. We provide a variety of volunteer services, hold fundraising events to support local charities and offer many social activities for our members and their families. Some of our projects include the Senior Dance, High School Scholarship Program, the town-wide Elementary School Spelling Bee and 9-11 Ceremony. We adopt needy families during the year, and jointly sponsor projects with the Network Against Domestic Abuse, Meals on Wheels, knights of Columbus, the Enfield Food Shelf, Time for Life, The Red Cross and Educational Resources for Children.
